To our great regret, we too have recently learned that the American Maker Media is in financial trouble. Maker Media Inc, the company that for years put the MAKE magazine on the market and the initiator of Maker Faires worldwide, let its 22 employees go last week. They are working hard to restart the organization as a non-profit and we strongly support this choice.
Eindhoven Maker Faire – like all hundreds of Maker Faires worldwide – is an independent event, so no worries, the Eindhoven Maker Faire will take place on 28 and 29 September 2019. Of course we will keep you informed of further developments in the coming period for Maker Media.
We wish Maker Media a lot of strength in these difficult times.
